VEHICLE DIAGNOSTICS SERVICE
A diagnostic machine is a piece of equipment that is used to access your vehicle’s on-board computer or ECU to read fault codes which are logged when your vehicle has had problems. Different machines are only compatible with certain vehicles, which is why we have invested in multiple machines, enabling us to assist in repairing all makes and models of vehicle in-house.
WHY DO I NEED A DIAGNOSTIC SCAN OF MY CAR
On modern cars, the need for diagnostics equipment is greater than ever before. Advancements in motoring technology inevitably mean that there are more components to potentially go wrong. Sometimes the only way to diagnose a problem with your vehicle is to attach a diagnostics computer to read the error codes stored in your on-board computer.
This can save you a lot of time and money, as the diagnostics machine can pinpoint the problem area enabling our skilled technicians to get straight down to the fault.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED A DIAGNOSTICS SCAN
Typically a warning light will appear on your dashboard.
Every car varies and different lights can mean more than one thing, so your best course of action would be to take it in for a diagnostics scan as soon as possible.
You may find the light flickers on and off, or goes out before you have a chance to bring it in to be checked, and of course in some cases your vehicle may show physical signs of a fault such as juddering or cutting out completely, before returning back to normal.
In most cases your on-board computer will have logged the fault and the technician will be able to access the fault codes.
We have a range of diagnostic machines installed with the latest software to help you and your vehicle to get back on the road.
